Effective Sunday, July 20 through Thursday, July 31 in the mainstem Columbia River from the Astoria-Megler Bridge upstream to the Highway 395 Bridge at Pasco, WA.

The daily adult salmon/steelhead bag limit may include sockeye and hatchery steelhead. The daily bag limit includes two adult salmonids, of which only one may be a steelhead.”

This is fantastic news for both Oregon and Washington anglers, as it provides more opportunities to target chinook salmon through July 19, while also extending the opportunity to retain hatchery steelhead and sockeye through July 31.

Also, with the fall chinook and coho salmon season opening up on August 1st, this is an exciting time of the year. There is plenty of opportunity available to get out and enjoy these magnificent fish we are fortunate enough to catch here in the Pacific Northwest.

If you want to get out, I highly recommend booking your seats sooner rather than later. I am usually booked solid from August 1st through the beginning of September, but as of now, I have some availability in my schedule.
