Willamette River Fishing Report for July

Fishing is fantastic right now in the Willamette River! We are getting excellent quality chinook salmon. These fish are fresh from the ocean and have scales falling off them. Not to mention and impressive fights they are putting up with many fish taking line and screaming out over 100 feet.

I still have some dates left for this fishery, which is nice because it's close to the Portland and Vancouver area.

With the extension of the Columbia River, there will be less pressure and more opportunities in the Willamette River.

Also, keep in mind the Buoy 10 fishery, which opens August 1st in Astoria, Or (link to my buoy 10 page), is just around the corner. I still have some seats for the mega fishery, and I recommend getting your dates booked sooner rather than later, as I usually will be completely booked out for this fishery.
