COLUMBIA RIVER
ASTORIA, OR
PORTLAND & KLICKITAT AREAS
ASTORIA, OR:
The buoy 10 seasons in Astoria, Oregon varies from year-to-year but typically we are given at least a 20 day harvest season starting around August 1st. Each year is different when the commission sets the season dates and regulations. Message me for updates and fishing opportunities in August for Astoria’s Buoy 10 season.
PORTLAND & HOOD RIVER AREA:
After August in Astoria we will continue to chase Chinook and Coho in September near Portland or The Hood River area. Fishing will continue up the Columbia all the way past Bonneville Dam. Again, these dates vary depending on the season set by the commission, but this is a great opportunity for anglers to catch these fish closer to the Portland area without the drive to Astoria, Oregon. Get in touch for updates and fishing opportunities in September for the Portland area Chinook and Coho Salmon trips.
KLICKITAT AREA ON THE COLUMBIA:
Beginning in mid to late September through November we move to the Klickitat area on the Columbia River for late season Chinook Salmon and the the start of one of the best Coho Salmon fisheries we have. Coho fishing here is fantastic with October being prime for this fishery and great fishing lasts throughout November.

COASTAL RIVERS
We will be targeting these fish down on the Coastal Rivers in either the bays, tidewater, or tributaries when the rains hit and the river water levels come up. “The tug is a drug!”... this is the truth when it comes to these Chinook down here. Fighting these fish is a game of tug-a-war, with fish reaching 20-40 pounds, and average 10-20 lbs. Trips on the coast can be fantastic fishing with warmer weather in the early season to cooler temps and rains in the later part of the season.
